I was recently surfing through the internet in search of a task management solution for small-medium business and found a website of a recent start-up, Comindware®. Comindware is now preparing two products to launch on global market. It is Comindware Task Management™ and Comindware Tracker™. Other enterprise collaboration software is in the pipe-line.
Well, most of issue tracking software is designed for QA, IT and support and can not be used in any other industry or for any other activity field. The Comindware Tracker™ web-solution provides a possibility to use issue tracking in any activity field, any department as it can be customized for any type of activity. Moreover, the solution comes with an extended templates library, already set for specific needs.
Comindware Tracker™ comes with Comindware Task Management™ solution that automatically generates tasks and gives them out to the assignees. The user doesn’t have to see both solutions because they can be integrated in MS Outlook. In this case all the work is performed inside MS Outlook with the extended tracker and task management options. Comindware Task Management™ collects all task from trackers, from MS Outlook and represents them for the user as a single list with clear deadlines and progress status.
Comindware Task Management™ solution can also be used separately from the tracker and is delivered as free software.
The thing that caught my attention most is that Comindware Tracker™ and Comindware Task Management™ enable the user to change any settings on the fly, even when it comes to changing item fields. This feature is unavailable to the trackers I know and I am looking forward to see how it works. The developers claim that trackers and workflow will be constructed in graphical mode, thus leaving tables in the past. As any other enterprise solution, Comindware Tracker™ comes with Gantt Chart, Calendar and Dashboards that provide visual presentation of the data.
Pre-registration for the product has opened and I have signed up to see and test Comindware applications features and benefits once the tracker and the task management solution are released. The upcoming release is due for October.
